Mission

The mission of the Foundation is to assist in providing monetary resources for the present and future enrichment of the Rome area community.

From Gifts to Grants

The Rome Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that accepts gifts and bequests which are held, invested, and administered under the direction of the Foundation's Board of Directors. Income from the investment of these funds is used award grants which benefit the people of and charities in the Rome area.

Recent Announcements

The Rome Community Foundation granted the Capitol Theater $6680 to purchase a theater quality projector and laptop computer. This will enable them to present a variety of media including slides and DVDs on the large theater screen. With this new capability, the Capitol can now offer this new service to area businesses, organizations, and individuals for large meetings or gatherings.

This grant was from the Stevens Kingsley Fund, which is part of the Rome Community Foundation. The Rome Community Foundation is a public community foundation formed in 1999 for the purpose of benefiting the citizens of Rome and its immediate environs. As a public charity, those donating to the Foundation are afforded the most favorable tax treatment.
